Complete Payments Solution

Transactions

Merchants can perform four different types of credit card transactions from the Transactions Datagrid. Additionally, merchants can choose to save the customer data from a transaction or perform a one-off transaction without saving customer data.

Funding

The Funding Datagrid enables users with the appropriate permissions to view the funding entries of an organization’s locations. By default, Dex displays the funding entries for the previous thirty days, but you can filter the displayed results by Effective DateBank Account NumberAmountFunding Source and/or Funding Status.

Reports

The self serve reporting module allows merchants to generate reporting on transaction and funding activities for a given time frame. Merchants with the appropriate permissions can also export transactions to a .csv file that can then be stored on a local computer or imported into an accounting application for processing.

Funding FAQ

These FAQs will allow merchants and Partners, a better understanding of funding and posting options available. Merchants can chose from NET, NOT NET, NET FOUR, & NET FIVE Options.

HOW will the transactions post for net merchants?

Forte adds all transactions—both sales (debits) and refunds (credits)—to create a single funding transaction that is deposited into the merchant’s debit funding bank account. Credit transactions offset debit transactions and unfunding offsets funding.

In the following scenario with the daily totals as follows,
Daily Totals: Credit Refunds $50 | Debit Unfunds $100 | Debit Sales $100 | Credit Unfunds $25,

The transactions would post as one transaction of  $25 Deposit.

HOW WILL THE TRANSACTIONS POST FOR Non - NET MERCHANTS?

Forte creates two different funding entries for sale transactions (debits) and refund transactions (credits) and deposits funding into the merchant’s designated debit funding bank account and credit funding bank account.

In the following scenario with the daily totals as follows,
Daily Totals: Credit Refunds $50 | Debit Unfunds $100 | Debit Sales $100 | Credit Unfunds $25,

The transactions would post as Two transactions of  $125 Withdrawal & 150 Deposit.

HOW WILL THE TRANSACTIONS POST FOR NET four MERCHANTS?

Forte creates four different funding entries for sale transactions (debits) and refund transactions (credits) and deposits them into the merchant’s designated funding bank account. For Fund Four funding, the following amounts create funding entries:

  • Debit Funding (sales, sales dispute wins)
  • Debit Unfunding (sales transaction returns, sales dispute losses)
  • Credit Funding (refunds, refund dispute wins)
  • Credit Unfunding (refund dispute loses, refund transaction returns)

In the following scenario with the daily totals as follows,
Daily Totals: Credit Refunds $50 | Debit Unfunds $100 | Debit Sales $100 | Credit Unfunds $25,

The transactions would post as Four transactions of  $50 Deposit, $100 Deposit, $100 Withdrawal, $25 Withdrawal

HOW WILL THE TRANSACTIONS POST FOR NET five MERCHANTS?

Forte creates five different funding entries for sale transactions (debits) and refund transactions (credits) and deposits them into the merchant’s designated funding bank account. For Fund Five funding, the following amounts create funding entries:

  • Debit Funding (sales)
  • Chargeback Reversals (dispute wins)
  • Debit Unfunding (sales transaction returns, dispute losses)
  • Credit Funding (refunds, refund dispute wins)
  • Credit Unfunding (refund dispute loses, refund transaction returns)

In the following scenario with the daily totals as follows,
Daily Totals: Credit Refunds $50 | Debit Unfunds $100 | Debit Sales $100 | Credit Unfunds $25, Disputes Won: 100

The transactions would post as Five transactions of  $50 debit, $100 debit, $100 credit, $25 credit, Debit $100

WHAT are "UNFUNDS"?

“Unfund” are adjustments to transactions already posted. Examples include chargebacks, adjustments, reversals etc. Unfunds can be posted as deposits or withdrawals.
